About Dr Kim Payet

South Bunbury & Donnybrook

I have been a Chiropractor for over 10 years and I could not imagine myself doing anything else. I’ve spent my career up until now working and running my own practice in Perth. During this time I have honed not only my Chiropractic adjusting expertise but have expanded my qualifications to include muscle therapies such as dry needling, active release, myofascial release, cupping, guasha and trigger point therapy as well as credentials in rehabilitation and exercise prescription. I believe the bigger my professional skill set, the more equipped I am to provide tailored, individualised treatment to my patients.

I feel I am a compassionate and empathetic practitioner due to my own health and personal journey. I have been an athlete, striving for performance but also struggling with injuries. I have been a broke uni student living out of home for the first time; eating ramen, drinking cheap wine and putting good nutrition on the back burner. I’ve ran my own business for 9 years and, while successful, it was stressful. Like many, I coped by running on caffeine, over exercising and sleeping little. I’m a breast cancer survivor and understand how scary it is when your body betrays you. I have also recently become a mum and experienced the challenges and joys of pregnancy, childbirth and post partum recovery. All of these highs and lows have made me acutely aware of the health struggles of others and I feel privileged that I’m in a profession where I can play a part in someone’s health journey.

Additionally I have been lucky enough to work with people from all walks of life; body builders, FIFO workers, the elderly, families from all different cultures and religious backgrounds as well as the LGBTQIA+ community. My goal is to create a safe, non judgemental space to provide quality Chiropractic care. I look forward to working alongside the team at Walkley Chiropractic.
